Music Education Grants

Since 2008 January they have given out as many as 38 grants to music academies and local music programs. They have also directly given out 17,000 grants to individuals.

If you need financial assistance, first you have to be able to make a budget for yourself. Find out how much it will cost. Research where you want to study and how much the tuition per year is it going to be, and how much the books will cost  etc. Once you know what it is you need you will have a clearer idea on how much to ask for.

Did you know that there are a lot of colleges that give out scholarships and grants too? Look for educational scholarships and grants at the colleges that you are applying at, or at the colleges where you have been already accepted. One of the first things that you will have to do to be able to apply for a grant or scholarship is to fill a FAFSA (Federal Assistance for student aid) form.

Colleges provide grants and scholarships based on the financial need and GPA and the talent and passion that you have, they also look at your previous records and recommendations.
